Elk Grove’s 94th Park Officially Opens in Laguna Ridge August 11

Mosey over to Elk Grove’s newest play space, Horseshoe Park, on Thursday August 11 at 6:00 pm for a grand opening celebration hosted by the City of Elk Grove and Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD).

Explore the western-themed park site where armadillos and horses roam amidst windmills, slides and horseshoe pits. Other park amenities include adult fitness equipment, two playgrounds, a sprayground, jogging loop trail, tennis courts and shaded picnic areas and barbecues. Four of the park’s 9.1 acres are now open. The remaining five acres will be open in phases with full completion expected in spring 2017.

Opening festivities will include a brief opening ceremony, complimentary snow cones, games and music by the Slade Rivers Band.

Horseshoe Park is the 94th park constructed in Elk Grove and one of 7 parks developed through a partnership between the City and Cosumnes CSD.
