Online Workshop and Listening Sessions to Focus on Land Use and Circulation Alternatives
The City of Elk Grove is hosting a new online workshop and four location-specific listening sessions as part of the City’s General Plan update. The public is invited and encouraged to participate.
What: Information gathered about transform areas from the public, Planning Commission and City Council has helped to identify land use alternatives that support the overall community vision. These alternatives will be presented for public review and feedback through an online workshop available now.
When: July 11 – August 1, 2016
We understand that some community members prefer to provide input and ask questions in person. As a supplement to the online workshop we will be hosting listening sessions focused on specific proposed change areas. Please join us at the location closest to your home or property (view map of potential change areas).

About the Project
The General Plan is a state-mandated document that addresses issues such as transportation, housing, open space, conservation, safety, and more. Elk Grove’s General Plan was originally adopted in 2003. A successful update will provide future leaders and residents with a clear, flexible, and fiscally viable plan that reflects and incorporates the community’s needs and priorities.
