The City of Elk Grove hosts waste tire collection events one week per month. Residents from anywhere in Sacramento County can drop off waste tires for free.

At 9255 Disposal Lane in the Recycle Area of our Special Waste Collection Center which is located off Survey Rd and Grant Line Rd.
Sunday through Wednesday 9:00am to 3:00pm during a scheduled tire collection event.

Residents can bring up to 9 tires per collection event.
Because this is a grant-funded program, it is limited to 9 tires, or 20 with an appropriate written authorization from the LEA (Local Enforcement Agency). Additional tires can be dropped off at a future event or can be disposed at a landfill.

Yes, tires with rims are accepted.
No. Tire collection events are funded by a grant. The grant guidelines specifically indicate that tires will not be accepted from tire businesses. Waste tires will not be accepted if transported in a company/contractor vehicle.
