Spare the Air Alert: High Ozone and Smoke Pollution Continue to Impact Region
Fires in the greater Sacramento area continue to cause very smoky conditions. We are also experiencing high readings of ground-level ozone pollution so a Spare The Air advisory is in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wind can cause readings to shift by the hour, which brings the smoke into the valley.
If you smell or see smoke it is recommended that you remove yourself from the area or go indoors to avoid the unhealthy air.
