About Household Hazardous Waste
Household hazardous waste should not be placed in your garbage. Instead, take items to the Special Waste Collection Center to ensure they are properly disposed of. All residents of Elk Grove, eligible residents of Sacramento County, and certain small businesses can take their hazardous waste to the Special Waste Collection Center to ensure it is properly disposed of. Please see the list of acceptable items that can be disposed or recycled at this facility.
