Purpose

Establishing Resolution No. 2009-76

At its special meeting on Saturday, February 28, 2009, the Elk Grove City Council identified objectives for each of its five goals. The Audit Committee was determined to fit within the objective of Accountability as part of the Council's goal to serve as wise, responsible stewards of fiscal resources. Therefore, at its regular meeting of Wednesday, April 8, 2009, the Elk Grove City Council adopted Resolution No. 2009-76 , establishing an Audit Committee and appointing two of its members to provide independent review and oversight of the City's financial reporting processes, internal controls, and independent auditors.

Committee Members

The Audit Committee is a standing committee that consists of two Council Members. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, pursuant to Elk Grove Municipal Code Chapter 1.03.
