The City of Elk Grove is inviting elementary-aged students and their families to join us at out first Cycle Quest Adventure Ride on September 21st from 10am-2pm! This event will teach students and their families about bicycle safety while riding along some of the City’s beautiful trails.
The event starts at Jack Hill Park (9380 Porto Rosa Dr) and leads riders along the Laguna Creek Trail up through Del Meyer and Camden Parks. The entire route is about four miles, and a full route map can be found at https://www.elkgrovecity.org/cyclequest.
There will be eight activity stations along the route where participants can learn about and practice bicycle safety skills, many of which are highlighted in the City’s Cycle Quest activity books. If four miles seems like too much, participants are welcome to do as much of the course as they are comfortable with! There will also be a limited number of helmets for participants who may not have their own.
More information about the event can be found at https://www.elkgrovecity.org/cyclequest. The event is co-sponsored by Consumnes Community Services District and funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
