All artists including high school students.

Fee:

No Entry Fee; a $5 cash, per piece hanging fee

Entry forms and artwork photos must be received by, entry deadline, end of business day, September 11, 2024

Multicultural Experience: Visual Artwork and 3D/Sculpture.

Competition:

Ribbons awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Place, Best of Show, Honorable Mention and People’s Choice Award.

Oil, Acrylics, Water Media, Mixed Media, Drawing (Pencil, Charcoal, Ink Pastel), Sculpture 3D.

Art Drop-off/check in:

Friday, September 14, 2024, 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Art Pick-up/check out:

Saturday, September 14, 2024, 5:30pm after the show

Art not picked up will be set aside for donation fund raising purposes.

Drop-off signs at the Community Center with art show location at District56, 8230 Civic Center Drive, Elk Grove, CA. Be sure to label your work with a prepared label for all your pieces with your name, address, title, and price also include the same with your online photo(s). Place labels on the back of your art.

Art not selected for the show:

You will be notified immediately.

Right Content

Limit: 

Up to Four (4) entries. Artists are asked to send a written, one paragraph bio/statement with their entry that talks about them as an artist or any other pertinent information.

Eligible Art: 

All artists (including high school students) work should be original, conceived and created solely by the entering artist. No gouache, giclée or airbrush. Art previously entered in a Multicultural Art Show and Competition will not be accepted. 

Sales: 

Must be made directly with artist after the show. The buyer’s contact information will be given to the artist.

Framing: 

Frames must be in good condition and paintings must be wired for hanging—no saw tooth hangers. If unframed, the sides must be finished—no staples or ragged edges. No exceptions.*

*If the art does not have proper wired hanging apparatus, it must be added. You may go and apply it and bring it back or the EGA staff will apply it for a fee of $5 to cover costs.

Size limitations: 

Works may be no larger than 36” x 40” on any one side. Three-dimensional pieces are subject to approval. Please list the size of your art including the frame. Indicate the width and length size of each piece of art.

Security/Liability: 

All reasonable care will be taken in handling artwork, however our officers and volunteers will not be responsible for loss or damage to paintings or other artwork. We do suggest you carry separate insurance on your artwork.
