Working Cats, also known as Barn Cats, provide natural pest control for residential properties, barns, ranches, wineries and breweries, warehouses and more. At times EGAS receives sick or injured feral cats or must remove a community cat from an unsafe location. Shelter staff provides medical care for these adult cats; alters, ear tips and vaccinates them and ultimately gives these seemingly "unadoptable" cats a second chance at life. Adopting and caring for a Working Cat mean providing a safe environment including shelter, food and water year-round; In exchange your working cat will keep pests, rodents, and wildlife at bay.
