We've been getting some questions at City Hall about new fundraising carwash regulations. The California Regional Water Quality Control Board has introduced a new policy that prevents wastewater generated during fundraiser carwashes from being discharged into the storm drain system. The City of Elk Grove understands these carwashes are a valuable funding source for local groups and organizations, and we want to make sure the community knows how to conduct compliant and "river-friendly" carwashes.
