Fatal, Single Vehicle, Collision On Whitelock Pkwy

FATAL, SINGLE VEHICLE, COLLISION ONWHITELOCK PARKWAY
 
ELK GROVE, CA - On February 22, at approximately 4:45 a.m.., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Whitelock Parkway, east of Franklin High Road.
 
Upon arrival, officers discovered a2004 Toyota Camrythat collided into a tree on the south side of Whitelock Parkway, causing the vehicle to sustain major damage. Officers located the first occupant out of the vehicle and immediately began lifesaving measures, however that occupant succumbed to their injuries. The second occupant of the vehicle was also located out of the vehicle and transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fire personnel arrived on scene and extricated the remaining two occupants from the vehicle. The third occupant of the vehicle succumbed to injures sustained as a result of the vehicle collision and the fourth occupant was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.Identification of the deceased will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office. The collision investigation is active and ongoing.
