HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION BRANDAMORE COURT

ELK GROVE, CA - On April 9, 2022, at 2:06 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to the 7400 block of Brandamore Court regarding a shooting that had taken place. Upon arrival, officers found one victim inside the residence. Unfortunately, the victim, an 18-year-old male, succumbed to his injury despite life-saving efforts. The name of the victim has not been released and identification will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.

EGPD detectives responded to the scene and have been actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The preliminary investigation has revealed that the residence was an Airbnb rental being used as a site for a party. Detectives believe there were approximately 10-15 people at the house during the party; however, most were gone when officers arrived. At this time, a suspect has not been identified, and the motive is unknown.
