Traffic Advisory: Elk Grove Salutes the Red, White & Blue

The City of Elk Grove will implement temporary traffic controls across southeast Elk Grove on Thursday, July 4th, for the 28th annual Elk Grove Salutes the Red, White & Blue event scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Elk Grove Park.

Traffic Closures & Detours: A traffic plan has been created, and road closures and detours will be in effect from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Streets closed from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:
Southbound East Stockton Blvd. at Valley Oak Lane
Northbound East Stockton Blvd. at Elk Grove Florin Road 

Streets closed from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:
Southbound West Stockton Blvd at Laguna Grove
Northbound Promenade/West Stockton Blvd at Kyler Rd
Whitelock Parkway at West Stockton Blvd 

Streets closed from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:
Southbound East Stockton Blvd. at the northbound SR-99 Elk Grove Blvd. off-ramp. 
Southbound Elk Grove-Florin Road at Elk Grove Blvd. 
Northbound Elk Grove Florin Road at East Stockton Blvd. 

Streets closed from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:
Northbound East Stockton Blvd. from Grant Line Rd.

Detours in effect from 8:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.:
Neighborhood traffic east of Elk Grove Regional Park will be directed onto northbound Elk Grove-Florin Road towards Elk Grove Blvd. (Right turn only).

Traffic exiting the east side of Elk Grove Regional Park (Dirt Lot) will be directed onto southbound Elk Grove-Florin Road (Right turn only) onto southbound East Stockton Blvd. (Left turn only).  From there, motorists can proceed onto Grant Line Rd.

Traffic exiting the east side of Elk Grove Regional Park from the Main Park Entrance (Gate 1) will be directed onto northbound Elk Grove Florin Road (Left turn only).  From there, motorists can proceed onto Elk Grove Boulevard.

Traffic exiting the west side of Elk Grove Regional Park onto East Stockton Boulevard (Gate 2) AND westbound on Valley Oak Lane will be directed onto northbound East Stockton Blvd. (right turn only).

Traffic exiting the west side of Elk Grove Regional Park onto East Stockton Boulevard (Gate 5) will be directed onto southbound East Stockton Blvd. (left turn only). From there, motorists can proceed onto Grant Line Rd.

Traffic eastbound on Valley Oak Lane will be directed onto northbound Emerald Oak.

Traffic exiting from the area of Hampton Oaks Drive, Union Park Way, or Elkmont Way will be directed onto southbound East Stockton Blvd from Elkmont Way.

Ride SacRT for FREE to the Park:
SacRT is offering FREE shuttle rides on two special routes to get to and from Elk Grove Park on Sunday, July 4th. The shuttles are available every 15 minutes starting at 4:30 p.m. Learn more at elkgrovecity.org/4thofjuly

Event Details 
Admission is free, and parking is $10 per vehicle. There will be no in/out parking privileges at the park after 3:00 p.m. Alcohol, personal fireworks, and pets, excluding service animals, are strictly prohibited.
