Making its way from Bond Road to Waterman Road through the center of Elk Grove, Laguna Creek Trail has a little something for everyone in Elk Grove. The popular route features two miles of paved, off-street trails for biking, running, horseback riding or just a leisurely stroll. With its 10-foot-wide surface, decomposed granite shoulders and equestrian staging areas, the trail accommodates a variety of uses.
One of our most scenic trails, every section is teeming with diverse and plentiful vegetation and wildlife - from the Swainson's hawks and blue herons to popcorn flowers and tules. With the addition of Jack Hill Park Bridge in 2008, Laguna Creek Trail is also one of the City's Safe Routes to School, providing easy access for students at Elk Grove Elementary and Kerr Middle Schools as well as Albiani Middle School and Pleasant Grove High School at a bit of a distance.
Laguna Creek Trail offers access to Old Town Elk Grove, Camden Lake, and many shopping and dining centers including Bond and Elk Grove-Florin, the Bell South Shopping Center, Bond Plaza and the Save Mart Shopping Center.
