Elk Grove, CA – In response to excessive heat temperatures forecasted through part of the weekend, the City of Elk Grove will open a cooling center today through Saturday, June 9-11, for residents who may lack shelter or adequate home cooling systems.
The cooling center will be located at Elk Grove City Hall at 8400 Laguna Palms Way. Hours of operation will be Noon to 8 p.m. The space will offer seating, water, and air-conditioning.
Visitors to the cooling center will be required to wear face coverings. Masks will be provided to those who need them. The facility cannot accommodate pets.
