The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) has released a draft EIR for the Elk Grove Station Project. Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft EIR on the project website:https://sjrrc.com/elk-grove-station/. The 45-day review period begins on December 3, 2021 and ends on January 18, 2022. Printed copies are available for review at: City Hall, the Elk Grove Library, the Franklin Library, and SJRRC. Formal comments for the Environmental Impact Report process should be in writing and either mailed to SJRRC (Attn: Regional Initiatives, 949 East Channel St., Stockton, CA 95202) or sent toelkgrovestation@gmail.com.
SJRRC is hosting a Virtual Public Meeting for the proposed Elk Grove Station Project draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) via zoom:

This public meeting will provide an opportunity for SJRRC to share additional details on the proposed Elk Grove Station and present key highlights of the draft EIR.
The proposed Elk Grove Station is located along UPRR's Sacramento Subdivision in the vicinity of Dwight Road & Laguna Blvd. and would be served by future ACE and San Joaquins passenger rail services as part of the Valley Rail expansion program.
